Morrill Act Sesquicentennial event to take place April 26

There will be a Morrill Act Sesquicentennial event taking place from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. April 26 at The Rock on Farm Lane.
Named after U.S. Congressman Justin Morrill, the Morrill Act was signed in 1862 by President Abraham Lincoln. The act democratized higher education for all Americans by granting each state land to establish a public college, revolutionizing the way institutions shared knowledge.
